COMPLIANCE FRAMEWORK

No KYC — No Deal. Trust begins before execution

L.A.T. coordinates a pre-execution review of the parties, ownership, product, documents, banking route and commercial purpose before a material fertilizer transaction advances. If material information is missing or inconsistent, the process pauses.

COUNTERPARTY REVIEW

Two sides of the transaction, one standard of clarity

The depth of review depends on the facts of each transaction. L.A.T. does not present a checklist as a substitute for legal, banking or regulatory approval; it is a structured commercial gate used before execution.

TRANSACTION GATE

Compliance is a process, not a decorative badge

A transaction advances in stages. Material gaps are clarified before the next commercial step, rather than pushed downstream.

01IDENTIFY

Parties & roles

Define seller, buyer, principals, banks and relevant service providers.

02COLLECT

Corporate data

Registration, ownership, management, banking and commercial information.

03VERIFY

Product & route

Specification, origin, export/import context and proposed shipment path.

04SCREEN

Restrictions & banks

Review relevant restrictions, payment structure and servicing-bank requirements.

05CLARIFY

Resolve material gaps

Pause and obtain explanations or missing records where the file is incomplete.

06DECIDE

Proceed or decline

Continue only when the transaction has a sufficiently clear and supportable basis.

DOCUMENT DISCIPLINE

A credible transaction leaves a coherent record

The commercial, product and shipment package should tell the same story: who is trading, what is being traded, under what terms, through which route and against which evidence.

!

Required documents vary by transaction, product, bank, Incoterm and applicable regulation. Final requirements are confirmed for the specific deal.

WHEN THE PROCESS STOPS

A missing answer is a reason to pause

L.A.T. may suspend coordination or decline participation where material risks cannot be reasonably clarified. This protects the integrity of the commercial process and avoids forcing a transaction through an unclear structure.

01
Unclear counterparty identityCorporate or ownership information cannot be sufficiently established.
02
Inconsistent product / origin dataThe proposed product, producer or origin cannot be aligned with the documents.
03
Unclear payment structureThe banking route or economic purpose requires clarification.
04
Material restriction concernA relevant export, import, sanctions or bank requirement is unresolved.
BANK
BANKING TRANSPARENCY

The transaction file should be explainable to the servicing bank

Where requested for a specific operation, the commercial package can be organized around the principal/agency relationship, buyer and supplier information, product, value, route, commission basis and supporting evidence of the underlying trade.
